Op 9 januari begon Lekker Hollen! het nieuwe seizoen met de duoloop, gevolgd door een toost met oliebollen en veel andere lekkere hapjes. De vaste onderdelen van deze avond werden ook afgewerkt. Te beginnen met het ‘jaaroverzicht’ van Andy, gevolgd door het financieel verslag van Marjan en dan het hoogtepunt van de avond: de uitreiking van de Gouden Schoen. Vorig jaar is die aan Dick overhandigd en het was dan ook aan Dick de moeilijke taak om de schoen weer door te geven aan iemand anders die hem verdiend heeft. Veel namen passeerden, maar uiteindelijk viel de eer te beurt aan Peter. Vooral vanwege zijn sportieve prestaties door in 2023 maar liefst vijf marathons te lopen. Maar daarnaast zeker ook vanwege de gastvrijheid om de kassen beschikbaar te stellen als ons thuishonk. Zeker verdiend dus!
De financiële situatie van de club is heel goed – mede door de groei in aantal leden de laatste jaren. Een goede reden om voor alle leden een nieuw clubshirt met logo aan te schaffen, die ook op deze avond werden uitgedeeld. En na al die plichtplegingen bleef het nog lang gezellig …
Gelukkig was er in de dagen erna nog gelegenheid om de hapjes er weer een beetje af te trainen 🙂
